Nutrition Challenge

Have you been limiting the number of refined carbs (potatoes, grains, sugar…) dairy and fruit? If you haven’t try out my 18 day nutrition challenge below. The problem with most “diets” is that they tell you what to do, are too extreme or unrealistic and unsustainable. This diet is meant for anyone looking to be leaner, feel better and learn how their body reacts to certain foods.

First of all, the most important aspect of any diet is that you learn what you’re doing any why you’re doing it. Don’t take anyone’s word for it, if you want to achieve your weight loss goal and keep it off you need to understand what works and what doesn’t work. In my experience, the simplest way to figure out how what works and what doesn’t is through an “elimination diet”. The idea here is to remove blocks of certain foods and evaluate how your body reacts. Slowly adding them back over time will educate you on what foods do what.

Everyone is different but there are foods that are known to cause more trouble than others for most people. The thing is, you’ve probably been eating them for so long that you may not even notice that they have been affecting you.

Most dairy and refined carbs are over consumed in an North American diet and aren’t essential to good health. A lot of the time, just removing those for a week results in less bloating, weight loss, less congestion, better skin and increased energy.

Try this challenge out and let me know how it goes!

As usual, if you have any special dietary considerations please consult a health professional before giving it a try.
